AMLR are looking for an Assembler to join a leading aerospace manufacturer. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a precision engineering environment.

Key responsibilities for Assembly Operative:

  • To carry out assembly of aircraft components to customer defined specification and standard.

Requirements for Assembly Operative:

  • Ability to work on assembly of new parts with solid rivets using hand and air riveting tools and other equipment for the purpose required.
  • Visual inspection of completed products.
  • Full knowledge and experience of using Verniers and other specialist measuring tools.
  • Experience of working to adjust sheet metal parts for assembly.
  • Current experience of the use of air tools i.e. drills / rivet press / rivet guns.
  • Experience of using sealants.
  • Engineering background ideally in aerospace industry.
  • Experience of reading, interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience of working with a number of different materials and finishes.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Utilising a range of hand tools.
  • Finish precision engineering products.
