AMLR are looking for an Assembler to join a leading aerospace manufacturer. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a precision engineering environment.
Key responsibilities for Assembly Operative:
- To carry out assembly of aircraft components to customer defined specification and standard.
Requirements for Assembly Operative:
- Ability to work on assembly of new parts with solid rivets using hand and air riveting tools and other equipment for the purpose required.
- Visual inspection of completed products.
- Full knowledge and experience of using Verniers and other specialist measuring tools.
- Experience of working to adjust sheet metal parts for assembly.
- Current experience of the use of air tools i.e. drills / rivet press / rivet guns.
- Experience of using sealants.
- Engineering background ideally in aerospace industry.
- Experience of reading, interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience of working with a number of different materials and finishes.
- Attention to detail.
- Problem solving skills.
- Utilising a range of hand tools.
- Finish precision engineering products.
