Pay: £17.41 per hour

Location: Derby

Job type: Permanent

Working hours: 12hr day shift Monday - Thursday 6am-6pm

Salary: Basic £15.98ph + 9% shift allowance = £17.41ph

AMLR Engineering is working in partnership with a leading manufacturer of aerospace components based in Derbyshire, established for 30 years. They are renowned for machining, assembly, inspection, fabrication and sheet metal. Manufacturing parts for precision aerospace companies, you will become part of a well‑respected company within the UK. The position is at the site in Central Derby. Our client currently employs over 200 people at the site, and we are looking to add contract support to the workforce to assist with growth. All candidates must be UK residents, and DBS checks (disclosure & barring service) may be required. Visa sponsorship is not offered.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work with various inspection equipment – Height gauges, calipers, verniers, micrometers, etc.
  • Conduct internal audits and provide 1st article inspection reports.
  • Experience with NADCAP and working to ISO 9001 and ISO 5001 standards.
  • Prior experience within the aerospace sector and in machining/fabrication and treatments.
  • Knowledge of chemical and special processes.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Work with limited supervision and maintain high attention to detail.

Qualifications and Skills

  • An Apprenticeship or equivalent City & Guilds qualification is desirable.
