We are working with an international ingredients supplier that is expanding its UK Food Ingredients business.
Due to planned growth, we are recruiting for a Business Development Manager β Food Ingredients (UK).
Location: Home-based, UK
Responsibilities
- Drive sales and business development across the UK Food Ingredients market
- Develop and execute the UK business plan and growth strategy
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within bakery, meat and ready meals sectors
- Manage and develop key customer relationships
- Build and maintain strategic supplier and principal relationships
- Work closely with European colleagues to support commercial growth initiatives
- Negotiate commercial agreements and pricing
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity and new opportunities
- Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events and exhibitions
- Support the future growth of the UK team, including the recruitment of a Customer Service Representative
Requirements
- Proven sales, business development or account management experience within Food Ingredients
- Strong understanding of the UK food manufacturing sector
- Experience selling into bakery, meat, ready meals or related food markets
- Ability to build and execute a commercial growth strategy
- Experience managing supplier or principal relationships would be advantageous
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable operating in a highly autonomous, growth-focused environment
- Exposure to animal nutrition ingredients would be beneficial but is not essential
