AMJ Recruitment are currently looking to recruit an Experienced Warehouse Supervisor to work for our long standing customer, based in Nuneaton.
Salary - up to £33000 per annum
Term - Permanent
Working Hours - 08:00am until 16:45pm (Mon-Thur) and 08:00am until 12:30pm (Fri)
Job Overview: As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a critical role ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the warehouse. Overseeing inventory and staff, you will lead and inspire the warehouse team, champion a culture of continuous improvement, and drive operational excellence through data-driven decision-making and proactive change management.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead/supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance and training to foster a culture of improvement.
- Oversee daily activities (receiving, storage and order fulfilment), coordinating with Purchasing/Supply Team.
- Manage inventory accuracy by monitoring stock levels, conduct cycle counts/stocktakes and maintain accurate records of stock movements.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a safe, clean environment.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse operations and productivity, analysing data to identify areas for improvement.
Key Requirements:
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory tracking/order processing.
- General PC literacy (e.g. Microsoft Office for emails, spreadsheets and reports).
- Understanding of inventory management principles/warehouse best practices.
- Experience in warehouse/logistics environment and hands-on knowledge of operations.
- Ability to lead, engage and develop high-performing teams using strong communication skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety standards and procedures/knowledge about OSHA guidelines.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities/meet deadlines.
- Forklift Licenses (Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck) is desirable, as is prior experience in warehouse supervisory/team lead role.
