AMJ Recruitment are currently looking to recruit a Design Engineer/CAD Draughtsman to work within an expanding established Manufacturing business based in Hinckley, LE10. Start Date – ASAP Term – Permanent from Day 1 Salary – £28000 to £29000 per annum Working Hours – 08:00am until 16:30pm (Monday to Friday) / Some flexibility there. MUST ideally have previous experience in Solidworks. Duties Include: – The Design Engineer will primarily produce drawings for customer approval, then progress this design into production. – The Design Engineer will be responsible for creating product designs. This will involve the Design Engineer creating 3D models and from this produce DXF files for Laser cutting machines, and Brake presses in the future. – Some experience with Excel software would be ideal as Kitlists and BOM creation will be part of the position. – Our current systems use parametric models and use of PDM, however we will move towards adopting Driveworks later this year. – If the Design Engineer has experience in digital printing, Radan Programming or Driveworks, this would be a clear advantage. – Typical work range of our products can be anything from simple single unit products to multiple lidded torsion spring assisted lifting products, and intruder attack tested products to LPCB ratings.
