My client, a leading US-based gaming studio, is seeking a talented Sr. UI/UX Developer to join their team.
The team of 20 are working on a unique and cutting edge text based narrative adventure game which uses AI to create endless branches, turns, story arcs and endings for their players. They\’re already live and have a loyal, subscribed, player-base and as such are already in profit. Think of this studio as on UGC but focused on Narrative based RPGs.
This remote role is open to UK and EU residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, prototype, and build high-quality front-end experiences.
- Collaborate with design and product teams to turn ideas into reality.
- Ensure platform compatibility (Android, iOS, desktop web, mobile web).
- Create and iterate on game UI/UX systems (maps, menus, skill trees, etc.).
- Contribute to the product roadmap with technical insights.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in modern JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
- Strong experience with React; bonus for React Native and Expo.
- Expertise in responsive and mobile-first development.
- Skilled in frontend state management and integrating with back-end APIs (GraphQL).
- Experience with animations, interactive elements, and performance optimization.
- Bonus: Experience with screen readers and accessibility.
Design Skills:
- Proficient with Figma and UX design principles.
- Ability to create intuitive, visually appealing designs.
Soft Skills:
