A South-East based Games studio are currently looking for a VFX Artist to work on a new innovative mobile title, which they’re aiming to dominate its genre. Founded by established industry experts, the team are made up of award-winning developers who have a history of releasing a range of high-quality games, some of which have been adored in the games industry.
The studio requires this person to work closely with the CTO and Art Director and work on hands-on VFX creation and in-engine implementation. The role will have you focusing on a few areas, but mainly working on in-game VFX/animations for this new title. The game is very collectable heavy, so you’ll be working on creating slick animations for battles, power ups and pack/box opening. The game will be exciting and fast paced, so part of your role must ensure that the visuals are smooth and lag free.
This role can offer a chance to own quite a large area of the art side and would suit someone who enjoys working in a small team. In return, the studio can offer fully remote working from anywhere in the UK, Private Medical Insurance, a generous Holiday Allowance, Quarterly Team/Fun days and access to multiple onsite hubs, for days you want to collaborate in person. This is a 2-month FTC with the possibility of extension.
Requirements- Experience as a VFX Artist in the games industry
- Experience on Mobile (preferred) or PC/Console Games
- Unity Engine experience is a must have
- Some experience with After Effects or similar
- Experience with ‘box opening’ and reward animations would be a bonus!
- A portfolio demonstrating your experience
