We have partnered with an exciting VR and Mobile Games studio based in Manchester, which requires a Technical Artist to help build a range of narrative experiences and work on a new mobile title. You will be working on a series of character driven, hyper realistic experiences where the possibilities are endless, working closely with the Creative Director, Programming and Animation teams.

As the Technical Artist, you will collaborate heavily with the Creative Director to help bridge the gap between artists and engineers, ensuring an efficient art pipeline and optimised games. You’ll also help with animation, rigging, tools, shaders, runtime performance and production constraints. However, your primary focus will be to heavily work with the Characters in the experiences, ensuring they look and feel realistic for the players.

The studio is around 25 people and the title early in development, giving you the opportunity to make an impact early on. You will have the opportunity to showcase your skills and wear multiple hats.

In addition to a great work life balance, the studio can offer perks such as an amazing pension, Cycle to work schemes and a generous holiday package which includes studio closures over Christmas.

This role is hybrid working with at least 2-3 days onsite in their Manchester City Centre offices.
