Senior Game Designer (Live Ops) β VR and Games Studio β North East
A North East based Games studio is currently looking for a Senior Game Designer to work on a new mobile title. The studio has a large portfolio of titles on Console and VR Platforms, some based on major box-office IPs. They are renowned for creating high-end games and setting industry standards in both single and multiplayer genres.
The studio is expanding into mobile games and seeks an experienced Designer to help develop a new game. Responsibilities include designing the in-game store, power-ups, micro-transaction placement, and balancing these elements based on player feedback and behavior. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the mobile games market, metrics, and analytical thinking, and will be involved in designing core features that players interact with.
You will analyze purchasing behaviors and provide data-driven recommendations to optimize pricing, positioning, and overall game performance. You will also contribute to developing special events and promotions for in-game items.

Requirements
- Held the title of Economy Designer, Monetisation Designer, Game Designer, or similar
- Strong mobile experience with at least one shipped mobile title
- Experience designing in-game stores, including pricing and balancing
- Experience designing in-game events
- Reporting and live metrics experience
- Mentoring and leadership experience is a plus
