Amiqus are currently working with a Manchester based video games studio to help them find a Junior Unity Developer to join their passionate, growing team. Focusing on VR and mobile sports tech, this is a great opportunity to evolve your skills at the intersection of games and sports.
This role will initially be focusing on UI and systems development, however there is space to grow into gameplay and physics within the team. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with the team of developers to see all aspects of game development, from features to testing and bug fixing.
Requirements:
• Experience building UI Systems using Unity (academic, personal, or professional)
• Strong interest in UI/UX and player interaction
• Awareness of gaming trends, user expectations, and player behaviour
• Working knowledge of C# and Unity workflows
• VR familiarity or Quantum / Photon experience a plus
• A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn
This is an exciting opportunity for someone either looking to join the games industry or has worked in a studio previously. The role requires 4-days per week onsite at the Manchester studio.
On offer is a salary range from £25k-£30k depending on experience, benefits, and generous holidays (including a Christmas studio shutdown).
