The Amino24i Group is a privately owned UK-headquartered SaaS and hardware technology business offering B2B video streaming and media delivery solutions through two synergistic divisions: 24i and Amino. Amino24i serves broadcasters, Pay TV operators, OTT providers and enterprises seeking to deliver high-quality live and on-demand video across any screen, anywhere in the world. The Group is privately owned, recently acquired by Sapphire Technology Group, and operates globally with offices and employees in strategic locations across Europe, North America and Asia.

A unique opportunity to work with the CFO as their right-hand person on group reporting, audit and tax and business-critical projects during a period of transformation. The finance function is undergoing a period of change, and the CFO requires someone who can partner them and the business to deliver the finance simplification roadmap. The roadmap includes reducing the Group from 15 to 8 entities (UK, US, Spain, NL). Remote with an occasional visit to the North Cambridge head office. Minimum seven-month opportunity, possibly longer or permanent.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver group monthly and year-end close process.
  • Produce the monthly group consolidated management accounts for the multi-entity & currency group, including consolidation adjustment journals, roll forward of equity, reviewing elimination of investments and share capital, managing FX differences, IFRS16 accounting, posting of ad-hoc journals including acquisition, loan accounting etc.
  • Prepare monthly CFO report and analysis.
  • Lead the Intra-group relationship, document intercompany procedures and processes, maintaining and reconciling/balancing all intercompany balances.
  • Prepare the Annual Financial Statements and Accounts (Group and entity level).
  • Lead the Group and local audit processes under IFRS, UK and EU GAAP compliance.
  • Prepare technical accounting papers for submission to group auditors.
  • Lead on group tax compliance supported by in-country advisors.
  • Review of the group transfer pricing policy in partnership along with other ad hoc tax projects.
  • Manage group treasury and 13 week rolling cashflow forecasting.
  • Manage group insurance policy procurement.

Key role in following projects:

  • Intercompany balance simplification/clear down in a tax efficient manner.
  • Closing dormant entities with local advisors and ensuring local compliance.
  • Implementation of new accounting systems and consolidation tool – either Netsuite or a fit-for-purpose Finance Tech Stack (cloud based, API driven integrated GL tools).
  • Support CFO in reducing the audit fees.

Experience required

  • Qualified accountant (most likely ACA), 5-10 years PQE.
  • Group financial reporting and accounting including IFRS as well as FRS102/EU GAAP, multi-currency.
  • Co-ordinating Group audit and tax processes and ensuring compliance with local compliance requirements.
  • Working knowledge and experience of tax compliance and transfer pricing.
  • Exposure to US and European corporation tax and reporting.
  • Intercompany accounting.
  • Consolidation and reporting tool experience such as Lucanet or similar.
  • Multiple ERP systems ideally covering Netsuite or similar.
  • Alternatively experience developing a finance tech stack (GL plus relevant API applications).
  • Stakeholder management, co-ordinating across international group finance.

Skills required

  • Project management and delivery-focused.
  • Structured and self-motivated.
  • Co-ordination of finance, external and non-finance stakeholders and strong communication skills.
  • System change and manipulating data sets.
  • Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables, nested formulae and more).
