The predicted salary is between 70000 - 85000 £ per year.
This Design Manager will ideally come from one of their main competitors, leading sub-contractor that is used to technically challenging facade packages up to 20 million in value, or someone that comes from a specialist consultancy with at least 5 years worth of facades experience.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Produce details of façade systems based on architectural sketches and assist in the delivery of detailed façade tenders and shop drawing packages.
- Provide 2D and 3D drafting using Autocad software for architectural documentation and detailed working drawings.
- Prepare façade technical specifications.
- Coordinate with the relevant parties to raise/resolve project-related issues which could affect the delivery of the documentation.
- Review and evaluate design deliverables to ensure buildability and compliance, liaising with the client's design team and specialist suppliers.
- Work with both the in-house and external project teams to ensure that the company, clients' requirements, programme targets and budgets are achieved.
- Attendance and hosting of internal and external design workshops representing the company.
- Management of internal and external design teams to ensure compliance with the project design, incorporation of common details, product specification, building regulations and national standards.
- Design cost management, accountability for design processes, recording and maintaining variations lists.
Depending on the calibre of the candidate, my client will look to pay up to 85k plus package for the right person.
