We have an amazing (Contract) opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer with Offshore experience within the energy sector. The role is hybrid, working 3 days out of our client's London office. The Engineer will have experience in offshore site characterisation work and support to jack-up activities by processing and validating geotechnical data, including AGS data handling and writing Geotechnical Interpretation Reports (GIRs).
Duties:
- Reviewing leg penetration and spudcan-quay wall interaction analyses.
- Reviewing leg penetration analysis and vessel suitability; high-level jack-up installation assessment.
- Supporting scoping, planning and operations for geotechnical site investigations and laboratory testing.
- Interpreting and analysing large geotechnical datasets to deliver high-quality site characterisations and engineering soil/rock properties.
Required:
- Relevant Engineering degree or equivalent.
- Geotechnical experience in foundation and cable design, installation constraints and understanding the interfaces with different engineering disciplines.
- Proven experience with planning, scoping and execution of offshore geotechnical site investigations, operational and in situ techniques.
Contract duration: 4 months; 37.5 hour week.
