As an Infrastructure Project Engineer you will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the customers’ infrastructures so that they can meet their business objectives. You will be working with both internal and external customers to ensure projects are successfully delivered within the required timeframes and specifications.

The Technology Projects team will work alongside the Sales team to recommend products and services for customers’ infrastructure requirements.

  • Delivering technical projects according to the specifications and customer briefs
  • Providing updates on the project’s progress to relevant contacts
  • Maintaining all relevant project documentation and the knowledgebase
  • Ensuring all time spent on projects is recorded accurately within the system
  • Arranging meetings with customers to get authorisation and sign-off on project deliverables
  • Ensuring project handovers are completed in full, with the service desk

Requirements:

  • 2 years or more experience working within an IT support environment or for a Managed Service Provider
  • At least 1 formal IT qualification (e.g. CCNA, CompTIA, MSCA & MSCE) or proven experience
  • Excellent working knowledge of Windows Server environments and Networking (HP, Cisco)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience working on IT infrastructure projects involving planning, installation, and documentation
  • ITIL V4 Foundation qualification
  • Working knowledge of Veeam backup, Firewalls (SonicWall, Sophos), Antivirus configuration experience, AD, AAD, DHCP, DNS and Group Policy
  • Knowledge of structured and fibre cabling

The typical working environment will be office locations either at the Gloucester office in Gloucester or customer offices. However, you will be expected to travel to and work at various customer sites. The job requires that you can lift and move typical IT equipment (PC’s and Laptops) from floor to desk.
