My client is a well-established building envelope subcontractor that has been trading for well over 30 years, working on various packages ranging from £4 million to £20 million in value.
Tier 1 & 2 contractors as well as leading developers are typically their route to market, working on commercial office, residential, mixed-use, public, and private sector contracts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparing detailed cost estimates across various different facade packages.
- Deep understanding of materials, labour, and manufacturing processes to ensure accurate and competitive project bids.
- Collaborating with architects, project managers, and suppliers to gather necessary information.
- Preparing and submitting detailed and competitive bid proposals.
- Identifying potential risks and mitigating them through detailed analysis.
- Attending pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather and verify project information.
- Providing technical support and clarifications during the project bidding process.
Depending on the calibre of the candidate, my client would look to pay up to £85k for the right person.
