My client is a leading UK sprinkler company who is looking to hire 4 Installers for its Northern Team based in the North West to undertake commercial sprinkler projects. Most of the installations will be in the North as they have teams elsewhere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the installation of commercial fire sprinkler systems (wet, dry, pre-action, etc.) in offices, retail, industrial, and other large-scale sites, ensuring full compliance with BS EN 12845, NFPA standards, and UK building regulations.
- Lead teams of installers and fitters, providing technical guidance, planning daily activities, managing site safety, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Read and interpret blueprints, conduct site surveys, oversee pipework fabrication/installation including grooved, threaded, testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Manage stock, tools, and quality checks; liaise with clients, engineers, project managers, and authorities for approvals and inspections.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all work meets the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Requirements:
- Proven supervisory experience (minimum 5+ years) in fire sprinkler system installation, preferably in commercial environments.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial sprinkler systems, codes, and best practices.
- Relevant qualifications/certifications (e.g., BAFE, FIRAS, LPS 1048/1204, FIA-approved, or equivalent fire protection credentials) highly desirable.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
- Security clearance or ability to obtain vetting an advantage.
