The Role
Due to continued growth, the business is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. You will take ownership of multiple CAT B office fit-out projects, typically ranging from £1.5m – £5m, working closely with Project Managers to ensure robust commercial control from pre-construction through to final account. This role is ideal for a proactive QS who thrives in a client-facing, fast-paced fit-out environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all commercial and financial aspects of CAT B office fit-out projects across the City and West End.
- Prepare cost plans, tender documentation, bills of quantities, and valuations.
- Lead procurement of subcontractors and materials to ensure quality and best value.
- Oversee change control processes, variations, and commercial reporting.
- Produce accurate cost forecasts, CVRs, cash flows, and monthly reports.
- Work closely with Project Managers and site teams to maintain budget, quality, and programme targets.
- Prepare and negotiate final accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
Requirements
- Minimum 4–5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor within commercial fit-out (CAT A/B) or refurbishment projects.
- Track record managing small to medium-value projects simultaneously.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
- Confident communicator with strong client-facing ability.
- Good understanding of London fit-out delivery standards and subcontractor markets.
