Overview: The opportunity is to take up a project ownership role within this well-established and highly successful C&S team in Bristol, with high potential for career progression. This is part of a larger, privately owned, multidisciplinary consultancy. The team is well established and stable, with a diverse project sector portfolio, making them resilient to the ups and downs of the market and providing a varied project workload. The office space is high quality, located in BS1, within walking distance from Bristol Temple Meads, and offers hybrid working. Applicants for the Principal role will be expected to take greater responsibility for mentoring and leading less developed colleagues, reviewing reports, and supporting bids.
Responsibilities:
- Take up a project ownership role within the Bristol C&S team, contributing to project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Mentor and lead less experienced colleagues, review reports, and support bids as part of career progression to Principal level.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the office and disciplines to deliver high-quality outputs.
Essential requirements:
- You are competent and confident in the structural design and assessment of a wide variety of building projects in the UK, with working knowledge of all the relevant codes and design tools.
- A Chartered Member of the IStructE and/or ICE or working towards this.
- A collaborative person who engages with colleagues across the office and disciplines and takes pride in delivering well.
