Are you a confident, self-motivated and empathic communicator? Do you love bringing people together, empowering communities and driving positive change? If so, we could have just the role for you!

This is a full-time role (although four days a week will be considered) and you must live close to and have a good knowledge of the rural communities of Trawsfynydd and Cwm Llinau in Wales. The role offers a flexible working policy and home working with some evening and weekend work required.

The organisation has a robust leadership team and peer support network to help you thrive in your role. As Communities Coordinator, you will be engaging with and bringing together a broad range of stakeholders in the community and identifying ways they can act on climate change.

You will have accountability for reaching inactive members of the community as well as engaging with more active stakeholders and will be communicating with local agencies including health boards, the police, local councils and residents associations. Organising events, knowledge providing and sharing, research and data gathering, and social media management all play a part in this varied and exciting position.

We are looking for a very proactive, confident, empathic and assertive individual who enjoys facilitating conversations and helping to implement change. Being highly organised, with an ability to liaise effectively with a broad range of individuals and stakeholders is essential to be successful in this role, as is an understanding of local rural communities and how climate change might affect them.

A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential. Ideally, although not essentially, you will be a bi-lingual Welsh speaker.

Full job descriptions will be made available to candidates who we feel meet the criteria based on their applications. All candidates will be responded to and we welcome candidates from all backgrounds, demographics and abilities.
