The Mission (The Role): A market-leading, UK scale-up in the on-demand services space is building a major new B2B platform that will transform how small businesses operate within the wellness sector. This is not a maintenance role; it is a foundational, hands-on, and strategic leadership position. We are seeking a Principal-level technologist who is comfortable with high levels of autonomy and technical ownership.
What You Will Be Doing (95% Hands-On):
- Architectural Ownership: Design, implement, and lead the microservices architecture for the new platform (scheduling, payments, inventory, multi-tenancy).
- Code Leadership: Write clean, robust, and highly performant code across the full stack, setting the standard for all engineering practices.
- Tech Stack Focus: Deep, current expertise required in: TypeScript, React / Next.js, Node.js / Express/NestJS, Cloud Architecture (AWS, Serverless, CI/CD).
- Mentorship: Act as the technical lead for the new team, guiding best practices and system design choices.
