My client is seeking a Senior Associate to join their leading Employment team in London. This is a high-profile, client-facing role offering the opportunity to work across a broad and sophisticated employment law practice. The team is recognised for its strength across both contentious and non-contentious matters, advising UK and multinational clients on complex and high-value employment issues.
The role offers clear career progression within a collaborative and high-performing team, with exposure to a diverse client base, including CBI-regulated entities, multinational corporations, and strategic projects across multiple sectors.
About the RoleIn this role, you will:
- Act as the primary employment law advisor to a portfolio of clients, providing both day-to-day HR advisory support and strategic guidance on complex matters
- Manage employment litigation and tribunal claims, including high-value disputes
- Support transactional work such as M&A, divestments, and restructures, including TUPE and employee consultation processes
- Provide advice across all areas of employment law, including senior executives, reward, atypical working, trade unions, global mobility, and Irish/Northern Irish employment law
- Attend meetings, draft high-quality documentation, and supervise junior team members
- Deliver exceptional client service, proactively managing projects and building strong client relationships
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- 5–8 years' post-qualification experience in employment law, ideally within a strong employment team
- Deep technical knowledge across general employment advisory, employment litigation, and senior executive matters
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills, with strong attention to detail
- Confidence managing work autonomously and taking responsibility for client deliverables
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers
- A commercial, proactive, and client-focused approach, with the curiosity and ambition to develop further
- Ability to support and collaborate with colleagues while contributing to team growth and client development
25 days' annual leave, increasing by 1 day per year of service
