A leading global law firm is seeking an Employment Associate to join its Employment & Reward Group in Belfast, as part of a UK-wide team of 60+ specialist employment lawyers.
About the Role
This is an opportunity to join one of the most experienced and best-resourced employment teams in the market, advising FTSE and blue-chip clients across the UK and internationally. The team's work spans strategic employment advice, complex tribunal litigation, cross-border matters, restructuring and redundancy, senior-level grievances (including discrimination and whistleblowing), and executive-level issues such as senior recruitment, termination, and restrictive covenants. There is also scope to work on strategic projects including global change management, reward philosophy, and gender pay gap audits, as well as involvement in M&A and outsourcing-related work.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year's PQE in commercial employment law
- Experience with complex tribunal claims, cross-border issues, and senior-level grievances
- Strong academic background and technical ability
- Commercial awareness and understanding of how a large international firm operates
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
