AmicusLaw Solicitors is a friendly Dorset, Somerset and Devon-based Law Firm. We are looking for an additional team member for our Bridgwater office to fill the role of Junior Legal Cashier. To support the Finance Manager in the provision of Financial Services to the practice by providing competent and efficient assistance in cashier duties and assisting with preparation of monthly management accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • To maintain personal knowledge and efficient application of all office equipment supplied.
  • To ensure the Firm's compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules and to avoid breaches.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • To enter postings to the accounts system.
  • Entering Purchase Ledger.
  • To execute bank transfers.
  • To deal directly with Clients when receiving payment by debit/credit card, cash or cheque.
  • To support the operation of the department's credit control system.
  • Maintain Breach register.
  • Assist with month end accounts.
  • Assist fee earners.
  • To manage own work allocation, productivity and quality of work with minimum supervision.
