Due to continued growth at Amiculum, we are seeking a junior medical editor to join our existing team. The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills and a strong command of the English language, enjoy working as part of a high-performing team, be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, and have an innate attention to detail.

In this role, you will work across all medical communication outputs, including slides, abstracts, posters, manuscripts and digital content in a variety of therapy areas. The position would be a good fit for someone who enjoys working collaboratively with their colleagues and is willing to support other team members who may have a more demanding workload.

Key responsibilities:
  • Edit and proofread slide decks and manuscripts to ensure clarity, consistency and accuracy.
  • Check grammar, formatting and references (including EndNote management and output style creation).
  • Prepare materials for journal/congress submissions and lead the submission process.
  • Provide copyright guidance to account teams.
  • Support the lead editor on larger or complex projects.
What you’ll need:
  • Qualified to degree level in English language/linguistics or life sciences.
  • 1–2 years of prior experience as an editorial assistant or editor.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Flexible and team focused.
