Experienced medical writer – publications
We’re on the lookout for an ambitious medical writer to join our growing team and support a significant rare disease account, with a focus on publications.
The role
We have a new opportunity for an experienced publications writer to join our team and work on a range of projects within a busy rare disease account. This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished writer with a passion for rare disease communications and experience in publications to develop high‑quality, innovative publications aimed at a variety of audiences for our global pharmaceutical client.
The role can be based at any of our UK offices, with home‑working flexibility available.
Key responsibilities
- Developing and delivering high‑quality content within a publications workstream for a rare disease account that is highly significant for Amiculum (project types include abstracts, manuscripts, posters, congress presentations and enhanced publications content)
- Contributing to publication strategy, as well as tactical delivery
- Establishing and building positive long‑term relationships with client teams and medical experts
- Building collaborative partnerships across internal teams
- Actively participating in the idea generation needed to drive and grow a contemporary publications account through proactive client management and spotting of organic growth opportunities
What you’ll need
- At least 5 years’ experience in medical writing within a healthcare communications agency
- A strong academic background in the life sciences
- Experience in publications and an interest in publications innovation to improve the impact and reach of data
- A passion for publications and transforming complex scientific information into clear, accurate and engaging content
- The ability to work well in a team and to tight deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills and the ability to work on several projects in parallel
