We’re on the lookout for an ambitious medical writer to join our growing team and support on a key rare disease account.
The role
Our core expertise is developing accurate and engaging scientific content and delivering that through a variety of communication channels for maximum reach and impact. Our team has developed an excellent reputation with our global clients for the quality of work that we deliver.
As a result of exciting account growth, we have a new vacancy for an experienced medical writer to join our UK/Ireland-based team. This represents a unique opportunity for an individual with a passion for either marketing or rare disease related healthcare communications.
The role can be based from any of our UK offices, with home-working flexibility available.
Key responsibilities
- Delivery of high-quality content on a marketing workstream within a highly significant rare diseases account for AMICULUM (which also encompasses medical affairs and publications support)
- With the support of the editorial lead, providing clients with a high level of scientific and strategic expertise on medical communications projects, including standalone events, symposia, slide sets, infographics and digital resources
- Establishing and building positive long-term relationships with client teams and medical experts
- Building collaborative partnerships across internal teams
What you’ll need
- Previous experience in medical writing within a healthcare communications agency
- A strong academic background in the life sciences
- Experience supporting on marketing projects, or medical affairs
- A good understanding of omnichannel approaches
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a passion for transforming complex scientific information into clear, accurate and engaging content
- The ability to work well in a team, collaborating with colleagues both locally and internationally
