We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced medical writer to join our dynamic team at Amiculum. In this role, you will play a key part in the development and delivery of high-quality scientific content across a fast-paced publications account. You will work closely with expert colleagues and client teams to produce clear, accurate and engaging materials that support impactful communication of scientific and clinical insights.

The role

Our core expertise is in developing accurate and engaging scientific content and delivering that through a variety of communication channels for maximum reach and impact. Our teams have developed an excellent reputation with our clients for the quality of work that we deliver, as well as our effective application of data visualization and storytelling principles.

As a result of this success, Amiculum is looking for an experienced and ambitious medical writer with a passion for publications who enjoys building positive long-term relationships, identifying opportunities and helping to drive organic growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Providing clients with a high level of scientific expertise on medical communications projects, with a focus on publications, including abstracts, posters and manuscripts.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of client products and the wider therapy area.
  • Ensuring quality and consistency across multiple deliverables.
  • Establishing and building positive long-term relationships with client teams and medical experts.
  • Building collaborative partnerships across internal teams.
  • Identifying opportunities to grow a contemporary publications account and actively participating in idea generation.

What you will need

  • A strong academic background in life sciences.
  • Previous experience as a medical writer supporting publications in a healthcare communications agency.
  • Strong editorial skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to be engaging and confident in verbal communication.
  • Enthusiasm for collaborating with colleagues and working as part of a team.
  • The ability to keep calm under pressure, work on multiple projects in parallel and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Confidence to make decisions and drive projects forward.
