We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced medical writer to join our team and make a meaningful impact on a growing global medical affairs account. In this dynamic role, you will have the chance to work on high-profile projects, supporting a wide range of medical affairs deliverables.
In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with other senior writers and the editorial lead to support a significant medical affairs account. You will have the opportunity to provide clients with your scientific and writing expertise across a diverse range of deliverables within the medical affairs scope. Whether shaping high-impact content or contributing creative solutions to complex challenges, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our deliverables not only meet but exceed client expectations.
Key responsibilities:- Delivery of high-quality scientific content on a large and fast-paced global medical affairs account.
- With the support of senior writers and the editorial lead, providing clients with a high level of scientific and strategic expertise on medical communications projects, including slide sets, infographics, training materials, advisory boards, congress materials, strategic initiatives and digital resources among others.
- Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of client products and strategy, and the wider therapy area.
- Review of content developed by other team members, to ensure alignment with strategy, a cohesive narrative and scientific accuracy.
- Support with training of junior editorial team members.
- Establishing and building positive long‐term relationships with client teams and medical experts, while also building collaborative partnerships across internal teams.
- Previous medical writing experience within a healthcare communications agency, with exposure to medical affairs projects.
- A strong academic background in a life sciences subject.
- Excellent storytelling and creative thinking ability, with the drive to explore new ways of communicating data and scientific concepts.
- Experience in performing internal editorial review, with the ability to provide constructive and encouraging feedback to team members on their work.
- Strong editorial skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- A desire to contribute to discussions with clients and offer fresh approaches (with the support of the team).
- The ability to keep calm under pressure, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner without compromising on quality.
- Confidence in your verbal communication.
