As Amici continues to grow, we’re looking for a System Administrator to join our dynamic Engineering team. You’ll be working alongside another System Administrator and a DevOps Engineer, forming a tight-knit trio that keeps our internal systems running smoothly.

This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working, a minimum of 3 days per week in our Glasgow office, and 2 days from home whilst flexibility to be in the office during the other system admin’s annual leave is required. During your onboarding period, we’ll ask for more time in the office to help you settle in and get up to speed.

What you’ll be doing?

Technical Support

  • Collaborate on helpdesk operations, managing operating systems and user accounts.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of IT assets from procurement to secure disposal.
  • Manage software assets, ensuring compliance and optimisation.
  • Tackle complex MyAmici platform issues escalated from our Customer Success team.
  • Monitor system, network, and asset uptime using tools like Jira Alerts and Azure Application Insights.
  • Respond to incidents using SentinelOne EDR and N-Able RMM.
  • Deploy patches and updates, and monitor success/failure rates to ensure system security.

Operational Support

  • Work closely with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve IT issues.
  • Participate in system upgrades and routine maintenance.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
  • Keep IT documentation and procedures up-to-date.
  • Play a key role in maintaining our Information Security Management System (ISMS).
  • Contribute technical expertise and fresh ideas to project teams, helping shape the future of Amici’s IT landscape

What we are looking for?

  • Proven experience in IT support, ideally within fast-paced SMEs.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and end-user devices.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills in a Windows/Microsoft
  • Experience managing helpdesk operations and ticketing systems.
  • Understanding of IT security best practices.
  • Relevant certifications or a computing degree are a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of technical ability.
