Greenlands Meadow is a brand new Amica Care home, opening to residents soon. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team from the beginning and help create a welcoming, safe and supportive environment. We are looking for a Senior Maintenance Officer to join our team for 37 hours per week.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain the home, grounds and equipment to a safe, high standard.
  • Complete safety checks, inspections, servicing and repair works.
  • Coordinate maintenance tasks and support the Maintenance Officer, contractors and colleagues.
  • Communicate clearly with residents, colleagues and contractors on repairs and maintenance progress.
  • Respond to out-of-hours emergency queries when required.
  • Support stock condition inspections, improvement works and other business needs.

About you:

  • Relevant trade qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Good knowledge of property maintenance, repairs, health and safety, COSHH and relevant legislation.
  • Practical skills in areas such as painting, plumbing, basic electrical work and general repairs.
  • Strong communication, organisation and prioritisation skills.
  • A self‑motivated team player with good interpersonal and computer skills.
  • Flexible approach to working hours and supporting other sites when required.
  • Commitment to Amica's staff values, equality and diversity.
  • Full driving licence and access to a car desirable.
  • Experience working in social care with vulnerable people desirable.
