Amica Care Trust offers a range of friendly, welcoming and professional support services, including occasional day care, to assisted living providing the independence many of our residents desire, through to specialist dementia care for those in most need of our support. We are recruiting for a Senior Registered Nurse to join our fantastic team! 37.5 hours per week, days which includes one supernumerary day per week.

We are looking for a Senior Nurse who wants to play a meaningful leadership role, with the time and space to do it well.

About the role

As Senior Nurse, you will be a clinical leader supporting and mentoring the nursing and care teams while working closely with the Registered Manager and leadership team. This role includes one supernumerary day per week, providing dedicated time for leadership, mentoring, oversight and quality improvement, rather than being fully allocated to shifts.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead and support safe, high quality clinical care
  • Mentor nurses and senior carers, sharing knowledge and confidence
  • Use your supernumerary time for leadership activities, audits, development and reflection
  • Contribute to clinical decision making and service improvement
  • Be part of a supportive, open and no blame culture
  • Develop your leadership skills, with scope for progression

About you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
  • Has experience in older people's care
  • Has senior nursing experience, or the confidence and potential to step into a senior role
  • Leads with empathy, professionalism and integrity
  • Wants to make a genuine difference within a charity led organisation

If you are a Registered Nurse who feels ready to step up but have not yet held a formal Senior Nurse title, we would still like to hear from you. Development and support can be provided for the right person.
