About the Role

We're looking for a Strategic Commercial Insights Lead to join us in a high-impact role at the centre of the commercial team. This is a role for someone who can hit the ground running and start generating value fast. You will lead the analysis of commercial data and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations for the business. We are looking for someone who loves spotting opportunities, investigating what’s really going on and solving the business problems that matter. The challenges you’ll work on will be broad and will shape how we grow. These could span our products, customer journey, sales process, marketing performance and overall growth strategy. You’ll combine CRM data with commercial judgement, customer understanding and qualitative input from teams across the business, using AI to speed up analysis and raise the quality of insight. Your work will turn insight into clear recommendations and real outcomes that drive performance. You’ll lead and develop two Analysts, as well as coaching others, sharing best practice and bringing structure and pace to commercial problem-solving. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment and turns analysis into impact fast. This is a hybrid role based in our Holborn office, working an average of 1-2 days per week in the office.

  • Solve commercial problems: Own high impact commercial questions across acquisition, conversion, revenue, gross profit, customer lifetime value and the wider customer journey. Lead deep dives into the commercial questions that matter most, from cost and margin to customer value and growth, and turn the findings into clear recommendations and measurable outcomes. Continuously monitor commercial performance and proactively identify issues, opportunities and emerging trends without needing to be asked. Investigate root causes and propose clear, practical solutions that drive growth.
  • Lead and develop a team: Lead and develop two Analysts, setting priorities, raising standards and coaching others to think commercially.
  • Drive cross-functional execution: Partner with marketing, sales, operations and product to gather data and insight to improve commercial performance. Drive initiatives that unlock growth, whether that’s through clearer data, sharper insights or better processes.
  • Use AI to raise the bar: Use AI confidently to automate repeatable analysis, speed up reporting and raise the quality of insight across the team. Stay close to how AI tools are evolving and bring new approaches into the team's work. Coach the commercial data team to use AI well in their day to day.
  • Own commercial insight through our CRM: Act as the business owner for the sales side of HubSpot. Owning commercial data in HubSpot and ensuring pipelines, reports and dashboards are accurate and the system supports how the commercial team operates. Identify and troubleshoot issues and gaps in how HubSpot is structured or used. Lead improvements to ensure data quality and reliable reporting to improve commercial performance. Improve funnel visibility and performance tracking so leadership has a clear view of commercial performance and emerging issues.

Proven experience in commercial analytics, insights or strategy in a fast-paced environment, with a track record of turning data into business impact. Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn complex, ambiguous data into clear, actionable insight and commercially grounded recommendations. Self-starter who can get to grips with a new business quickly and start generating value from week one. Comfortable working independently with limited handholding, structuring their own priorities and moving fast. Clear, adaptable communicator who can translate complex analysis into simple, commercially relevant insight, adjusting communication for different audiences. Strong commercial acumen with understanding of customer journeys, conversion levers, revenue performance, gross profit and customer lifetime value. Demonstrated ability to structure commercial questions, connect data with business context, and drive practical, high-impact solutions to solve commercial problems. Proven people-leadership experience, including managing, coaching, and developing team members to achieve high performance. Confident working with CRM systems (ideally HubSpot) and using data structures to improve performance visibility. High-ownership mindset - confident in taking responsibility for outcomes, driving action and influencing decisions with robust, evidence-based insight. Proven experience working at pace in a fast-moving environment, balancing speed with quality and delivering tangible commercial impact quickly. Confident and curious user of AI tools, with practical experience using AI to automate analysis, speed up reporting or raise the quality of insight.
