We are currently recruiting for an established Water Hygiene and Legionella compliance company that is looking to appoint an experienced Remedial Engineer to cover Northamptonshire and surrounding areas. This is a hands-on position carrying out plumbing and remedial works identified through Legionella Risk Assessments and routine Water Hygiene inspections across a range of commercial sites. The Role You will be responsible for completing remedial works to hot and cold water systems, ensuring systems remain compliant with current Water Hygiene and Legionella control guidance. Duties will include: Carrying out plumbing and remedial works identified through Legionella Risk Assessments Removal of dead legs and redundant pipework Pipework modifications and alterations Installation and replacement of TMVs Replacement of valves, taps and associated water system components Installation and modification of hot and cold water services Remedial works to Cold Water Storage Tanks Calorifier remedial works Installation of insulation and associated improvements Correcting issues with water temperatures and system configuration Carrying out system flushing and disinfection following remedial works where required Identifying additional defects and areas of non-compliance while on site Working in accordance with ACoP L8 and HSG274 Completing accurate reports and documentation for all works undertaken Liaising professionally with clients and site contacts Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard What We're Looking For Candidates should ideally have: Previous experience carrying out Water Hygiene / Legionella remedial works A strong practical plumbing background Experience working on commercial hot and cold water systems Knowledge of TMVs, CWSTs, calorifiers and associated pipework Good understanding of ACoP L8 and HSG274 Relevant plumbing qualifications would be advantageous Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage your own workload Full UK driving licence Package £32,000 – £40,000 basic salary, depending on experience Company vehicle Pension Ongoing training and development Full-time permanent position This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Remedial Engineer / Plumber looking for a long-term position covering Northamptonshire and surrounding areas within the Water Hygiene and Legionella compliance industry.
