What you will do

  • In this vital role, you will be responsible for key commercial and supply operations activities for the UK & Ireland affiliate, supporting reliable product supply, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance across the product lifecycle.
  • Working cross-functionally with Commercial, Quality, Finance, Regulatory, Medical, and Global Supply Chain teams, you will help ensure patients and customers experience uninterrupted, compliant access to Amgen medicines while supporting continuous improvement and operational effectiveness.
  • Manage day-to-day commercial operations activities, acting as a key escalation point for Customer Success, Customer Finance, customer queries and complaint resolution, ensuring timely issue management and cross-functional co-ordination.
  • Manage wholesaler, distributor and third-party operations, including contract negotiation, relationship and order management, issue resolution, performance governance, and business continuity planning.
  • In partnership with our Regional Operations team, support demand, inventory, and NHS stock reporting activities to ensure reliable product supply, minimise inventory obsolescence risk, and maintain compliance with UK reporting obligations.
  • Own UK customer master data governance, ensuring accuracy and alignment across Amgen’s systems and in compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  • Act as a key liaison for commercial team with Quality, Medical and Supply Chain Operations functions, ensuring audit readiness and compliant operation of compassionate use, early access and other programmes.
  • Support operational readiness and cross-functional execution for product launches, product changes, and lifecycle events, ensuring continuity of supply and compliant implementation.
  • Develop and maintain data and reporting capabilities in support of all the above responsibilities, including Power BI dashboards.
  • Drive continuous improvement through digital enablement, data-led insight, and adoption of generative AI tools to improve operational effectiveness.

What we expect of you

  • Previous experience in pharmaceutical supply chain or commercial operations environments, with strong understanding of pharmaceutical compliance, including ABPI Code requirements, quality standards, and audit expectations.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK and/or Ireland pharmaceutical and NHS landscape.
  • Proven experience managing customer data, distributor operations, order management, and inventory performance.
  • Experience supporting product launches, tenders, and product lifecycle events.
  • Strong systems, reporting and analytical capability (including SAP, Power BI, and Excel).
  • Ability to operate independently, manage complexity, and deliver outcomes accurately and at pace.
  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and influence stakeholders within a matrix environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with an interest in digital enablement and data-led operational excellence.
