What you will do:

  • Co‑lead cross‑functional brand strategy for designated products across the rare disease and inflammatory disease portfolio.
  • Provide medical leadership to ensure global and regional strategy is translated effectively into local priorities and plans.
  • Engage external experts, professional organisations and key stakeholders to inform strategy and strengthen scientific partnership.
  • Partner with marketing, value and access, and other internal stakeholders to support lifecycle planning and patient access initiatives.
  • Contribute to UK & Ireland affiliate strategy and tactical planning in close collaboration with regional and global colleagues.
  • Support evidence generation planning, including collaboration on company-sponsored studies and review of investigator‑sponsored study proposals.
  • Work with clinical operations to identify appropriate sites and investigators for future company‑sponsored research.
  • Lead and develop assigned team members through effective line management, including coaching, performance development, capability building, and oversight of resource planning.
  • Deliver therapy area and product‑specific medical training to internal stakeholders as required.
  • Provide medical review and approval support for promotional and non‑promotional materials in line with applicable standards and governance.

Qualifications:

  • Degree educated.
  • Medical affairs experience, gained within a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company.
  • Previous people management and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programmes or resources is desirable but not essential; a genuine interest in people leadership is essential.
  • Proven experience as a final ABPI signatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while building strong cross‑functional partnerships, leveraging strategic thinking, commercial acumen, agility and effective communication to adapt quickly and deliver business objectives in a dynamic environment.
  • Product/therapeutic area knowledge within rare diseases or inflammation is preferred, but not mandatory.
