AMG Vanadium (AMG V) is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our growing team at our Cambridge Facility. In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination of inbound vanadium bearing raw material receipts as well as outbound shipments of finished goods to customers. You will be responsible for domestic and transboundary shipments and receipts, as well as the coordination of internal shipments and deliveries between AMG Vanadium’s Cambridge and Zanesville facilities. You will report to the Supply Chain team directly to the Logistics Lead and facilitate communication and activity across Operations, Sourcing, Sales, and Distribution to optimize the Company’s Supply Chain.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead by example and comply with all AMG V safety and environmental requirements, policies, and procedures, including AMG’s Code of Business Conduct.
  • Embrace and promote the AMG V culture in all day-to-day activities; foster and promote a positive, respectful work environment that is aligned with AMG’s Values.
  • Coordinate with Sourcing on incoming shipments of vanadium bearing raw materials.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing on incoming shipments of non-vanadium bearing raw materials.
  • Interface with internal and external customers to manage document flow throughout the Supply Chain.
  • Coordinate and manage the shipments between the Company’s Cambridge and Zanesville facilities; ensure proper documentation and tracking of all transportation between the facilities.
  • Track and monitor all shipments; address and resolve any shipping/logistics issues that arise in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Work with Accounting, Operations, Sourcing, EHS, and Sales to streamline processes, create a smooth order and delivery flow, and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Utilize Lean principles to drive continuous improvement in logistics processes to optimize the supply chain.
  • Perform other duties as may be required.

Qualifications/Skills/Requirements

  • High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree a plus.
  • Experience in fast paced manufacturing environment a must; steel or hot metal experience a strong plus; hands-on experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in material handling, logistics, inventory control and/or supply chain management required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills required (verbal, written, and listening skills).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Collaboration skills essential; team player at all levels of organization.
  • Must be adaptable to change.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principals and mindset of continuous improvement.
  • Competent in Microsoft systems and experience working in ERP system, JDE experience a plus.
  • Obtain and maintain all required DOT training and certifications applicable to the position.
  • Complete and maintain all required training in shipping documentation, to ensure accurate and retained documents according to regulatory requirements.
