AMG Search is delighted to be working with a well-established, Chartered independent financial planning firm in Edinburgh to recruit two Financial Planners. These are growth roles driven by excess client demand and represent a genuine opportunity to join a business that has tripled its turnover in recent years and has serious infrastructure in place to support its advisers.
The Role
- Both positions are based in Edinburgh and they are in the process of relocating to new offices in August 2026.
- You will be provided with an immediate client bank from day one, with no requirement to self-generate initially.
- Full paraplanning, technical and administrative support is provided throughout.
Key Details
- Immediate client bank provided — initial AUM of approximately £60m to £80m
- Around 150 client reviews per year
- Leads also provided in addition to the existing client bank
- Equity and share incentives planned for later this year
- Full paraplanning and technical support provided
Salary and Package
- Depending on experience £60,000 to £80,000 basic
- Senior £80,000 to £90,000 basic
- New business bonus: 20% on first £50,000 written, 40% thereafter
- Additional net new assets bonus commencing year 2
Working Pattern
- Hybrid — typically 2 days in office, 1 day working from home, 2 days seeing clients
- Relocating to new office in the city centre in August 2026
What We Are Looking For
- DipPFS qualified as a minimum, Chartered status advantageous
- Strong client relationship skills
- Comfortable managing an existing book and growing it over time
- Team orientated with a preference for a structured, supported environment
