We are seeking a strategic, commercially astute and inspiring Head of Procurement to lead sourcing for multiple fresh produce categories with full accountability for end-to-end strategy and P&L ownership, including performance with key retail partners such as Tesco.
In this senior role you’ll set and drive the long-term global sourcing strategy, build resilient, sustainable supply bases and partner with growers, grower groups and service providers to ensure commercial, quality, availability and sustainability objectives are met. You’ll lead procurement, logistics, packaging and investment decisions to optimise margin and long-term value creation.
A core part of the role is ensuring supply chain excellence, managing risk and efficiency from production through distribution, while leading innovation in varietals, packaging and formats and driving measurable sustainability improvements. You’ll also provide clear strategic leadership to procurement teams and influence key internal and external stakeholders.
You will have 5+ years in a senior procurement role with full P&L responsibility, deep expertise in fresh produce supply chains, strong strategic thinking and commercial rigour, excellent negotiation and leadership skills, and a proven track record in driving innovation and sustainable value.
