We’re looking for a Product Quality and Technical Specialist to join our Technical team and support the delivery of high-quality, compliant and customer-ready products across our Top Fruit category. Working closely with Tesco, our supply base, Kent-based teams, Procurement and Agronomy, you’ll play a key role in maintaining product quality, technical compliance, specifications and reporting across the category.
You’ll manage key customer and source systems, ensuring product specifications, technical information, labels, packaging verification and TPIS requirements are accurate and up to date. You’ll also monitor quality performance through QSL data, weekly KPI reporting and shelf-life reports, while supporting product benchmarking, sample evaluations, taste panels and customer visits.
A key part of the role will involve investigating product quality issues and customer refunds, carrying out root cause analysis, following up non-conformances and supporting wider quality assurance and technical compliance activity across the supply chain. You’ll work closely with growers and packing sites to maintain standards and drive continuous improvement, with travel to source and packing sites required when needed.
We’re looking for someone with at least two years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within fresh produce, food manufacturing or a related environment. You’ll have knowledge of weights and measures legislation, legal labelling and relevant compliance requirements, alongside internal auditing experience and strong problem-solving skills.
