Electrical Field Service Engineer

Due to continued growth and expansion our client requires an electrical field service engineer to join their team.
The Role
As the electrical field service engineer you will be required to travel around the UK, usually departing their Yorkshire base of Shelf on a Monday morning and travel to customers throughout the UK. This will be planned, but may entail some emergency servicing. You will service to a high regulatory standard, gained through your qualifications and extensive in-house training. Your knowledge will be of the following, but not limited to:
- You will be electrically qualified, with 18th edition.
- Have a professional manner; the role will involve client visits.
- Understanding of control panels.
- Be able to work on your own in different surroundings.
As the electrical field service engineer when out in the field you will:
- Routine Maintenance: Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
- Fault Diagnosis: Troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical faults on control panels, dampers and sensors.
- Emergency Repairs: Respond to reactive call-outs nationwide to restore life-safety systems to full operational status quickly.
- Compliance Testing: Conduct statutory airflow, pressure, and battery backup testing in line with BS 7346 and BS 9999 standards.
- Reporting: Complete service sheets, get involved in risk assessments, and compliance certificates accurately after every site visit.
- Client Advisory: Explain technical faults clearly to site customers if required and recommend necessary system upgrades or remedial works.
