Our client is a Yorkshire based manufacturer of fan and smoke extraction systems, ranging from car park ventilation systems to tunnel ventilation. They have a service division that performs PPM around the UK for their own systems as well as their competitors'. Due to continued growth and expansion, they require a mechanical service engineer to join their team.
The Role:
- As the mechanical field service engineer, you will be required to travel around the UK and visit customers, with planned trips that may have you away most weeks.
- This is a great role for a mechanical fitter with experience in air movement, air conditioning, bearings, belts, or motors.
- Experience in fan balancing will be an advantage.
- Maintenance and commissioning.
- Investigate and diagnose problems.
- Report writing.
- Servicing and repair.
You will spend much of your time out in the field assisting the electrical service engineers and sales force. You will work alongside other areas of the design and manufacturing teams, dealing with both internal and external customers. For this customer service side of the role, you will need to communicate at all levels and maintain a professional demeanor as you will be the face of the company when visiting clients. A flexible approach to work is essential.
