Our client is a Yorkshire based manufacturer of fan and smoke extraction systems, ranging from car park ventilation systems to tunnel ventilation. They have a service division that performs PPM around the UK for their own systems as well as their competitors'. Due to continued growth and expansion, they require a mechanical service engineer to join their team.
The Role
As the mechanical field service engineer, you will be required to travel around the UK and visit customers. This will be planned, and you will be away most weeks. This is a great role for a mechanical fitter who has experience in air movement, air conditioning, bearings, belts, or motors. You will have, but not limited to:
- Experience in fan balancing will be an advantage.
- Maintenance and commissioning.
- Investigate and diagnose problems.
- Report writing.
- Servicing and Repair.
You will spend much of your time out in the field assisting the electrical service engineers and sales force. You will work alongside other areas of the design and manufacturing teams, dealing with both internal and external customers alike. For this customer service side of the role, you will be able to communicate at all levels and will be professional as you will be the face of the company when visiting clients. You will have a flexible approach to work.
