Our client, a large engineering business based in Shipley, have an urgent requirement to recruit 2 well versed CNC Millers to their large team.
Responsibilities include:
- Completing pre-use machine inspections, recording results and reporting any hazards or faults.
- Completing asset care tasks in line with the maintenance schedule.
- Making full use of the working day completing in-cycle tasks where cycle times permit, including running additional machines or conducting additional manual operations.
- Setting and operating CNC Machining Centres in line with standard operating procedures and setup sheets.
- Producing and inspecting parts in line with drawing specifications and quality standards.
- Achieving required machine efficiency targets.
- Data capture, using manual and computer systems to book and record material movements, recording process times, downtime, part quantities, and other information to assist in the control and development of the department.
- Adhering to the production plan.
Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate a strong track record in a similar role and be an apprentice trained engineer (NVQ level 3 or equivalent). You will be able to set, operate and edit programmes using either Heidenhain, FANUC or Mazak control systems. Ideally, the successful candidate for the role on 3 shifts will have experience of Jig Boring.
These are permanent positions. One is required on an Early/Late shift pattern and one is required on a 3 shift pattern: 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm Monday to Friday; Triple Shifts: 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm (10:30pm on a Friday) / 10pm - 6am (4 nights) plus shift allowance:
- Early Late - 21.25% Shift Allowance which equates to a salary of £43,563
- Triple Shift - 39.58% Shift Allowance which equates to a salary of £50,154
