Our client, a large manufacturing business is looking to recruit a well versed Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This role will focus on:
- Working as a member of the Maintenance and Facilities team, providing maintenance support to other departments in a safe and compliant manner.
- Ensuring PPM is up to date and work orders are actioned in a safe and timely manner.
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Ensuring PPM activities are completed on time.
- Actioning reactive maintenance tasks as quickly as possible in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintaining compliance and statutory inspections and supporting other functions with this task.
- Supporting the EHS team.
- Ensuring the stock of spares.
- Handling breakdown maintenance activities.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Technical knowledge of equipment (pumps, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics).
- Experience of MIG welding is essential for this role.
- Experience of working with a computerised maintenance system.
- Experience working with machine and plant maintenance and breakdowns.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- A good understanding of general engineering principles.
- Understanding of H&S procedures.
- Team player.
- Positive attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure.
This is a permanent position where you will be expected to work a rotating early and late shift pattern:
- Week 1 - 6am - 2pm Monday to Thursday & 6am - 11:30am Friday.
- Week 2 - 2pm - 10pm Monday to Thursday & 11:30am - 5pm Friday.
