Our client, an engineering and manufacturing business, based between Halifax and Bradford, have an immediate requirement to recruit 2 well versed Welder Fabricators.

Key Skills / Responsibilities

  • Must be able to MIG/MAG to a good standard. Top graded welders will be expected to able to TIG Weld.
  • Have experience in working with Mild steel / carbon as a minimum. Top graded welders will have experience of working with Exotic Materials.
  • Read technical drawings to build jobs to specification.
  • To fabricate from technical drawings.
  • Overhead Crane experience a benefit.
  • Work to Quality standards set out.
  • Possess Safe working practices.
  • Follow safety protocol including wearing heat-resistant gloves, Overalls, Airfed protective masks, and safety shoes (all provided by the company).

There is genuine potential for progression as well as gaining various Welding Codes, all paid for by the company. This is a permanent role where you will be expected to work the following hours: Mon - Thur 7am - 3:45pm / Fri - 7am - 12pm. Overtime is also available. The company operates a banding system based on skill level. As part of the interview process, you will be required to carry out a weld test to ascertain your banding. Hourly rates range from £15.90 up to £19.
