We are seeking a talented and motivated Production Team Leader to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, encourage and motivate team members according to specifications, procedures and quality standards.
  • Provide leadership and supervision for staff development through training, mentoring and regular one-to-one meetings and appraisals.
  • Maintain high quality standards and ensure products are manufactured to meet customer delivery dates.
  • Work to the production plan to achieve a target of 95% on-time commitment.
  • Passively lead our #1 priority: health, well-being and safety of our colleagues, contributing to a strong safety culture.
  • Respond quickly to quality issues, process problems, labour shortages and machine breakdowns, taking appropriate action.
  • Support and promote 6S activities within the workshop.
  • Conduct shift start-up and shift end meetings.
  • Implement countermeasures for non-conformance.
  • Provide training and mentoring for operators and apprentices.
  • Manage unplanned absence, lateness, track attendance, conduct return-to-work meetings and raise issues to the Department Leader.
  • Address discipline issues in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Proactively address performance concerns and conduct issues, escalating to the Department Leader and HR when necessary.
  • Conduct performance reviews in line with the company annual performance review process.
  • Hold regular 1-2-1 meetings with team members.
  • Maintain positive and productive relationships within the department and with suppliers and customers.
  • Show trust in others and empower opportunities.
  • Respectfully challenge when disagreements arise and listen to others’ views.

Who You’ll Be Working With

You will work with a team of 9 production operatives. You will attend twice weekly production meetings with internal stakeholders. You will report to the department head or operations manager.
