Our client, a large manufacturing business based in Leeds, have an immediate requirement to recruit a well versed Machine Setter Operator. The Machine Setter will set, run, and maintain manufacturing machinery to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. They will support daily output targets by completing accurate machine set ups, monitoring quality, and ensuring smooth operation throughout the shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow daily production instructions and run the correct required springs.
- Monitor raw materials and request as required from the department Manager.
- Monitor quality of products; ensure all quality procedures and checks are adhered to, feed back to the Manager.
- Changing cloth and wire.
- Complete Quality checks to agreed tolerances.
- Monitor machine output.
- General upkeep of the Coilers/ glue assembler.
- Frame core units & roll pack.
- Checking wire and reject wire correctly.
- Assist engineers with machine issues.
- Working with the Manager/planner ensure the work is produced to the correct priority end on time.
Skills & Experience required:
- Experience in a machine setting or machine operating role within manufacturing. Understanding of mechanical adjustments, tooling changes, and basic fault finding.
- Ability to follow production instructions and quality standards accurately.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high Quality work.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues, engineers, and managers.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target driven environment.
This is a permanent role where you will work a permanent NIGHT SHIFT. Hours of work are 40 Hours: Monday and Tuesday 6am - 6pm, & Wednesday and Thursday 10pm - 6am. During Training period of up to 12 week, you will work 6am -2pm. In return you can expect an hourly rate of £15.76 per hour plus shift allowance.
