Our client is a leading global manufacturer and has been in business for nearly a century, based in the Bradford area, where they design, develop and manufacture their products. With a solid background and growth, the company continues to go from strength to strength.

The Role

As the EHS Officer you will be based in the Bradford Office, but will be required to travel to the Leeds office on a weekly basis. You will have experience in a similar role in a manufacturing company. The role is varied, and will involve, but won’t be limited to:

  • Advising stakeholders on EHS matters
  • Ensure EHS systems are maintained to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
  • Deliver EHS training, support continuous improvement
  • Ensure site compliance of all EHS legislation
  • Monitor and review site Environmental Aspects and Impacts
  • Organise or conduct internal and external EHS training requirements
  • Monitor compliance to EHS legislation and other requirements
  • Undertake integrated QEHS internal audits
  • Advise and inform Managers and employees on environment, health and safety issues, changes in legislation, standards and Company Policy
  • Advise on safety aspects in the design and use of plant, machinery and equipment

The Candidate

The right EHS Officer will have detailed knowledge of EHS systems on ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, EHS legal framework and from a manufacturing/engineering arena. You will have several years experience and of course possess all the skills required to be successful in the role:

  • Communications skills
  • Work under pressure
  • Form good relationships
  • Possess NEBOSH certificate
  • Convey technical detail fluently
