Our client, a small to medium sized engineering business, have an immediate requirement to recruit a well versed Production Engineer to join their team.
As Production Engineer you will have the following duties:
- Responsible for programming various CNC machines (FANUC & SIEMENS).
- Programming to customer drawings.
- Ability to program offline using CAD etc.
- Responsible for implementation of production processes and procedures.
- Support and lead continuous improvement, problem solving and process improvement activities.
- Be able to create routings.
- Order tooling.
- Assist with shop floor layout and cell designs.
- Undertaking continuous training and development.
Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Should have a strong background in CNC Turning/Milling using live tooling.
- Previous experience of working within production engineering.
- PC skills.
- Able to work to engineering drawings.
- Experience of various machine controls.
- Able to complete tasks using their own initiative.
- Strong team member and willing to assist wherever required.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
This is a permanent position where you will be expected to work regular office hours with an early finish on a Friday. In return you can expect a salary of circa £40k.
