We are thrilled to present a unique opportunity for a Permanent Front of House Representative to be based onsite at a prestigious Government Establishment in Central London.

36.25 hours per week. Rota-based shifts between 07:30 and 18:00, Monday to Friday exc. Bank Holidays/Weekends. The salary is £28,050.76 increasing as training modules are completed, with the potential to earn an additional £2,500 once all training is finished.

In this high-profile environment, your role is vital not only in creating a welcoming atmosphere but also in upholding the highest standards of security, which is essential to safeguarding sensitive information and maintaining trust. You will be the frontline guardian of safety and professionalism, ensuring smooth operations for visitors and staff through expert management of facilities, calls, and bookings, while responding promptly to urgent building needs. Success in this role depends on your exceptional interpersonal skills, adaptability, and an unwavering dedication to delivering outstanding service coupled with rigorous security practices.

The successful Candidate needs to obtain Security Clearance. To obtain clearance you’re required to be a UK permanent resident for the last 5 years.

This role provides a fantastic pathway for progression, starting from Reception and advancing to Helpdesk roles. You'll have the opportunity to participate in a comprehensive, multi-skilling training programme covering a wide range of Front of House Services. As you develop your skills and knowledge, each completed training module will be rewarded with a financial incentive, your dedication and achievements.

What you will do:

  • Provide a professional, welcoming, and efficient reception service to all visitors and building users.
  • Act as the first point of contact, offering guidance and information on building facilities, services, and procedures.
  • Always maintain a high standard of customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors and customers.
  • Issuing Visitor Passes for access to different areas within the building.
  • Support service improvements and contribute positively to team objectives.
  • Prioritise workloads, focus on tasks, and ability to remain calm and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
  • Strictly adhering to established processes and procedures to uphold security measures.
  • Receive and manage incoming telephone calls and service requests.
  • Assess, categorise, and prioritise calls in line with contractual requirements and service level agreements.
  • Forward requests to the appropriate service provider and monitor progress where required.
  • Maintain accurate records and booking systems.
  • Produce and update documentation relating to room bookings and visitor management.
  • Ensure information is communicated effectively to customers, colleagues, and service providers.
  • Follow up on urgent, health and safety, and security-related issues to ensure satisfactory resolution.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an integrated Front of House service.
  • Building positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
