We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Plumber in HMP Buckley Hall, Buckley Hall Road, Rochdale, Lancashire, OL12 9DP. The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week. Staff are required to work between 08:00 - 16:30 Monday-Friday (finish at 15:30 Friday).
Join our vibrant, inclusive community in Ministry of Justice (MoJ) account working on Facilities Management, delivering critical services for prisons that make a real positive impact across the UK. At Amey, we’re supporting our justice client, His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) by providing them with safe, clean and efficient prisons. By using our facilities management expertise, we help keep 60 secure premises across England and Wales running smoothly.
What you will do:
- Routine and non-routine maintenance in a geographically and physically challenging site.
- Mains water supply repairs.
- Fault finding.
- Identification of life expired equipment, checking, repairing and making good faults.
- Inspections, water sampling, Legionella sampling and risk assessment.
- Other tasks as directed by the Site.
What you will bring:
- Full driving licence.
- Experience in pipework in an industrial and commercial environment.
- Experience in operating light plant.
- NVQ level 3 in Plumbing and Heating is preferred (we may consider NVQ level 2).
- Legionella Control (L8) and water risk assessment experience is desirable.
